DUSTY FOOT PHILOSOPHIES (VIDEO) K’NAAN, SEPTEMBER 24, 2010

Staying true to our focus on important global issues, on September 24, 2010 The Terry Project had the pleasure of hosting world renowned musician, poet and activist K’naan at the UBC Chan Centre for a personal talk and interactive q&a.

In this talk, K’naan shares his reflections on conflict, peace, and overcoming cultural divides while touching on the power of art and music in shaping minds and beliefs. In the q&a students also had the chance to ask K’naan about his recent rise to international fame, his experiences as a musician and activist, and the source of his inspiration.

Sponsored by the UBC Faculty of Arts, the UBC Bookstore, The Africa Awareness Initiative, The UBC AMS, and the Terry Project.
