President Acts Presidentially, Receives Nobel Peace Prize

At least he knows it (via Reuters):

“I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments but rather an affirmation of American leadership,” he said in the White House Rose Garden. “I will accept this award as a call to action, a call for all nations to confront the common challenges of the 21st century.

Given Obama has been on the international scene for less than a year, and given he has achieved relatively little tangible headway, I wonder if his award will be viewed with as much contention as Yassir Arafat’s or Kissinger’s award.
