Science! -or- How I Spent my Summer Vacation

Some of you may have noticed (those of you who care, that is) that I’ve been a little quiet on the Terry* front over the past two weeks. Well, that’s because I’ve been on a whirlwind vacation tour of this fair nation – 11 cities and four flights in 17 days. It looked a little like this:

Now, as much as I wanted to leave work behind and really sink my feet into the sand and my teeth into cheese filled, mayo lathered bunwiches, I simply couldn’t – Science kept nagging me and nagging me. No matter how much I pleaded with it, or how many long division problems I threw at it, Science was there wacking me with the sturdy stick of reason.

I gave in and Science had it’s way with my vacation. It was awesome. Here is an excerpt:

  • The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology (dinosaur bones)
  • Royal Ontario Museum (Darwin and more dinosaur bones)
  • Canada’s one and only Creation Science Museum (humans riding dinosaurs)
  • Niagara Falls (I only assume dinosaurs had a hand in it)
  • Many of the severely polluted waterways in Southern Ontario (humans)
  • Calgary Zoo (more dinosaur bones, but mainly sad looking gorillas)

Over the next few posts, I’ll be chewing over a few things from the trip. For example, how terrible do I feel for flying around the country? How much water is falling over Niagara falls? What would I have named my pet dinosaur? Will I show you all of my vacation photos?

Yes, I will.
