Get Involved in the UBC Students’ Global Health Initiative

The UBC Students’ Global Health Initiative would like to invite all UBC students to an information & networking evening: From Passion To Skill: Experiences in Uganda, India & Honduras. There will be an address by Dr. Gavin Stuart, Dean of the UBC Faculty of Medicine, and presentations from our three global health projects. After the presentations there will be an opportunity for students, residents, faculty members, and our community partners to mix and mingle in an informal setting.

Date: Wednesday, October 24, 2007
Time: 6:00pm reception, 6:30pm address by Dr. Gavin Stuart with GHI’s global health project presentations to follow
Venue: Medical Student & Alumni Centre (MSAC) at the corner of 12th Ave & Heather St

Following the presentations, students and residents will have the opportunity to speak to members of each of the project teams as well as faculty advisors and community partners.

Application forms will be available for those wishing to participate in the projects in the upcoming year.
