Incredible Opportunity to Discuss Health, Science, and Welfare with Acclaimed Experts in the Field

On Wednesday, October 26th at 5:30 pm, The UBC Department of Family Practice, Faculty of Medecine, and Random House Canada, invite you to attend a discussion with Abdallah Daar and Peter Singer. Daar, a Tanzanian native, is a recipient of the UNESCO Avicenna Prize for Ethics of Science, and often advises the UN and various governments on global health issues, among his other achievements. Singer was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2011 for his contributions to health research and bioethics, and, like Daar, frequently advises governments, the UN, and organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. These two accomplished University of Toronto professors will be discussing their book, The Grandest Challenge: Take Life-saving Science from Lab to Village at the Michael Smith Laboratories Auditorium (2185 East Mall) next Wednesday. This is an amazing opportunity to hear two exceptional men discuss the very pertinent issues surrounding human health and welfare. Please RSVP to jocelyn.conway@ubc.ca if you would like to attend. Do not miss out on this event!
