Tea in the Market

Men carrying silver trays of tea tread through the market. There are hundreds of us milling about looking for deals on spices, scarves, Turkish delight, cheese, leather and jewelry. Locals and visitors alike rub shoulders. Women are wearing the hijab, head scarves with long trench coats and sun dresses, and the market is packed. Everywhere I look the street are filed with people. It is like christmas and boxing day sale crowds every day.
The men of this town are charming and use this to try to get you to shop in their stores. “Hello. Where are you from?””Ah such a beautiful smile” is followed by “Come taste my Turkish delight” without any sense of a double meaning.
It’s blurry, but here is one of the tea trays in the market.
