It’s the most wonderful time of the year…

…NOT.

If you struggle with income taxes like me, then I highly recommend the UBC Tax Assistance Clinic for Students (TACS). One of the greatest examples of how awesome it is when students help students (with some coordination and money help from some UBC folks, and big corporations like KPMG and Deloitte). You sit down for an one-on-one appointment with another student who has been professionally trained to help you file our income taxes. It’s a learning process so they are not obliged or instructed to do the work for you, but are here for technical assistance. Taxes can be a really tricky process for international students especially. The good news is that they give higher priority for such students to sign up first. DID I MENION IT WAS FREE? I think I should stop highlighting the “free” factor so much. So don’t miss out!

The sessions run from Monday to Friday, March 5th – April 2nd 2008, 10AM – 4PM. Sign up for an appointment online at their website.

Now file away, my pretties…
