Alain de Botton: An Amazing TED Talk.

If you’re familiar with Alain de Botton, you’ll know he is intelligent, witty, and a wonderful thinker. (His book “The Art of Travel” is a must read!)

And when I saw him on the TED site today I was intrigued to watch his talk, because not all amazing authors translate into fantastic speakers.

My conclusion? He is definitely able to do both,  and the lecture is a wonderful 16 minute exploration of our ideas of work, success, and the value of those around us.

So watch the talk, make a jug of iced tea, and get inspired to spread your own ideas to the UBC community. The deadline for TEDx Terry Talks is coming soon! Click here for details on how to apply.
