Who owns science? Sir John Sulston on May 19th

This is just a heads up to say that John is giving a free talk at 12:30pm on May 19th. And basically, during this time he will address the awfully big question of exactly “Who owns science?” and maybe more importantly, who should be owning science?

In case, you’ve never heard of this Nobel Laureate, he was one of the main folks involved in the human genome project (based in the UK at the Sanger Institute), and it was that somewhat unwieldy experience that led him to observe and question some of the inner mechanics of scientific endeavours – not necessarily from the scientific method angle, but more from a societal context.

Anyway, should be a good one, and the price is certainly great (it’s FREE – yay!). Full details are as follows:
