The Community Eats lunch is on tomorrow at Sprouts. Friday, Feb 15, 12-2 PM. Lunch is free, and last time, they served up a delicious vegan shephard’s pie. You can check out this webpage for more information.

Community Eats is a student led initiative dedicated to fostering food security and community interaction at UBC. To promote these values and create a forum for discussion about food system issues, we serve a regular free lunch in Sprouts. In an effort to decrease the amount of edible food that goes to waste, Community Eats lunches are cooked with culled produce which has been collected from various Vancouver grocers and food distributors. The lunches are served every other Friday at Sprouts. Bring your own dish/tupperware and utensils. Leave $$ at home.

Joanne often gets really excited when she talks about Science. Luckily, she works in the Advanced Molecular Biology Laboratory, the educational arm of the Michael Smith Labs. She likes all kinds of science but has a special spot in her heart for biology, technology, and well, sports. As a scientist and educator at UBC, she hopes that she never becomes so specialized that she loses her global perspective. (When she gets around to writing an intro post, I'm sure that she'll link to it here).
