UBC’s proposal to increase residence rates and international tuition fees has sparked intense debate and activism on campus.

This begins two weeks of programming on student debt, tuition policy and the history of post-secondary policy in Canada. Next week, we air an episode called “The New Debt Politics.” But first, a BARtalk.

In partnership with the AMS, we hosted a frank and forward-thinking discussion on UBC’s proposals. This is our 13th BARtalk. In it, we discuss the university’s position, strategies of campus activists and the future of BC’s post-secondary institutions.
