Listen. Learn. Be Inspired. TEDx Terry talks 2010

Imagine UBC’s most fascinating and engaging students coming together for a day, giving ‘the talk of their lives,’ sharing their ideas and discussing their visions for UBC and the world. Now imagine being there, with students, alumni, faculty, administration, and members of the general public watching this unfold and partaking in the various discussions, and think of all the possibilities that this idea-share holds.

For the second year the Terry Project will be collaborating with TED to offer a TEDx event. Registration is now open for TEDx Terry talks 2010 which will be held on October 2nd at the Life Science Institute. Eight student speakers will be given a high profile platform to communicate their ideas, passions and desires to an audience of 350 UBC peers.

A new addition this year will be The Briefing @ TEDx Terry talks. Students representing a variety of causes will be given the chance to pitch why their cause deserves support  in under three minutes. Each attendee contributes one dollar towards a pot (via the registration fee) and will then vote on which cause to receive a pot of money. One dollar, one vote, one big opportunity to make a difference!

Please note the ticket price does include a free lunch, coffee and snacks, as well as a donation towards The Briefing portion of the day!
